April is here, and it’s already been a month. Before I even get into the chaos that is April, I have to say thank you. March was a huge milestone month with 697,347 page reads across all my books. March just started, which means basketball has taken over the Dunn household. More specifically, University of Louisville basketball, because Mr. Dunn is a huge U of L fan. March Madness season means the TV will be on, the games will be intense, and I will be hearing a lot about brackets, rankings, and referee calls whether I planned to or not. Looking ahead to next month, the biggest thing on our family calendar right now is the Teen’s minor surgery scheduled for April 1st.

January came in loud, cold, and determined to humble me. We don’t really do snow around here, so when it showed up anyway and decided to linger, the entire household reacted like it was the apocalypse. New Year’s Eve looks a little quieter around here this year, and honestly, that feels perfect.
