April Update: Milestones, Chaos, and a Very Personal Release

April is here, and it’s already been a month.

Before I even get into the chaos that is April, I have to say thank you. March was a huge milestone month with 697,347 page reads across all my books. That number honestly still doesn’t feel real, and I’m so grateful for every single one of you who’s picked up my stories, shared them, or recommended them. It means more than I can put into words.

April decided to follow that up with a little chaos.

The Teen had surgery on April Fool’s Day. Yes, really. Because apparently that’s the kind of timing we’re working with this year. Everything went well, she’s home now, and recovering like a champ, so we’re on the other side of it.

I did have to work my day job the day of the surgery, so Mr. Dunn took her in… and I learned very quickly that he is not exactly on the ball with updates. There may have been some pacing. And double texting. Repeatedly. But we made it through.

Between the surgery and a major internet outage in our area, I did fall a bit behind, but I’m working hard to catch back up and wrap up the draft of Blackthorne Academy Year Two. I’m so excited for where this story is going, and I can’t wait to get it into your hands.

On the bright side, there’s also something really special happening this month.

This book is incredibly close to my heart. I poured a lot of my own past and healing into this story and letting it go out into the world feels both vulnerable and important. If you love protective heroes, emotional journeys, and watching a heroine find her strength again, I hope this one resonates with you.

And for those who celebrate, I want to wish you a very happy Easter. I hope your day is filled with a little peace, a little joy, and maybe some time to get lost in a good book.

Thank you, as always, for being here.

XOXO

Zoe
