March Madness, Big Page Reads, and an April Fools Plot Twist

March just started, which means basketball has taken over the Dunn household. More specifically, University of Louisville basketball, because Mr. Dunn is a huge U of L fan. March Madness season means the TV will be on, the games will be intense, and I will be hearing a lot about brackets, rankings, and referee calls whether I planned to or not.
Looking ahead to next month, the biggest thing on our family calendar right now is the Teen’s minor surgery scheduled for April 1st. Yes. April Fools’ Day. I’m choosing to believe the universe has a sense of humor with the timing. Everything should be straightforward, but we’ll be spending the next few weeks getting ready for it and planning a few quiet recovery days afterward filled with snacks, blankets, and enough entertainment to keep boredom at bay.
On the writing side of things, February ended up being the best page reads month of my career so far, coming in at 178,498 page reads. That number honestly feels a little surreal. Every read, recommendation, and message from readers makes a difference, so thank you for being part of that milestone.
ARCs for The Rebound Rule will be going out on March 13th, with distribution handled by Twisted Chaos PR. There's still time to sign up if you haven't already.
I’m also officially back underway on Blackthorne Academy: Year Two. I decided to start the manuscript over from scratch, and the story is finally unfolding the way I wanted it to. Sometimes the reset is exactly what a book needs. Once that draft is finished, the next project on deck will be Cloaked Hearts, which tells Pam’s story in the Dandelions series.
So the next few weeks look like a mix of Louisville basketball taking over the living room, writing sprints, ARCs heading out into the world, and getting ready for The Teen’s April 1st surgery. As always, thank you for reading and supporting this wild author journey.
XOXO
Zoe
